Drutex Launches a State-of-the-Art Powder Coating Line
Drutex has launched one of the most modern paint shops in the world in a newly constructed building with a floor space of 14,000 m2. It is the most advanced installation in Poland and one of the first of the type in the world.
The innovative technology employed by Drutex allows for coating even 100 km of aluminium profiles per day, equal to the distance between Bytów, where the company is located, and Gdańsk, on the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea. The whole process is conducted using thermal and electric energy, thanks to the solutions adopted, and also ensures the use of almost 100% of the paint. Additionally, Drutex has constructed its own sewage treatment plant and has minimised water consumption to guarantee the highest standards in ecology and environmental protection.
“The powder coating shop launched by our company is one of the most modern installations in Europe. It is a true 21st century solution, which enables us to ensure not only the highest quality of product, but also significantly broadens our production capabilities in window-door joinery,” says Michał Kwiatkowski, Director of the coating shop at Drutex S.A.
DRUTEX has been consistently implementing a development strategy based on investing in modern technology for many years. In recent years, the company has invested several hundred million PLN in modern production plants, a machine park, and in the development of sales network.
“This new investment comprising the launch of the new powder coating shop is the next stage in the company’s dynamic development. It will allow us not only to expand our offer, but also to implement a further, consistent increase in the quality of our products. This could not have been achieved without investment in the most modern technologies, which guarantee that our products are always of the highest order worldwide,” emphasises Leszek Gierszewski, President of Drutex.
Last year, Drutex spent over PLN 120 million on investments. Apart from the coating shop, a modern, automated injection moulding machine section was also launched, and the machine park was significantly expanded. Growing sales have also led to significant investments in the Drutex car fleet, which has reached approximately 350 vehicles.
